The kinetic energy is [tex]\frac 1 2 m v^2[/tex] and the height of the building doesn't matter at all.
[tex]E = \frac 1 2 m v^2 = \frac 1 2 (2)(5)^2 = 25[/tex] joules
[tex]E = \frac 1 2 m v^2 = \frac 1 2 (2)(5)^2 = 25[/tex] joules
