What's the difference between a 'Public' and 'Private' network profile, and how does it affect printer sharing?

A 'Public' network profile is more restrictive for security reasons, often disabling network discovery and file/printer sharing. A 'Private' network profile allows these features. Ensure your network is set to 'Private' for printer sharing to work correctly. You can change this in Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
