A corrupted print spooler can cause this error. Press Windows Key + R, type 'services.msc', and press Enter. Locate 'Print Spooler'. Right-click and select 'Restart'. If it doesn't start, check its 'Properties' (right-click > Properties) and ensure the 'Startup type' is set to 'Automatic'. If problems persist, try deleting the files in C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS (stop the spooler service first).
